If an effect allows you to spend mana "as though it were mana" of any color or type, that allows you to spend mana you couldn't otherwise spend, but it doesn't change what mana you spent to cast the spell
You can exile cards to pay only for generic mana, and you can't exile more cards than the generic mana requirement of a spell with delve
Key budget cards to include: Umbra Mystic, Ethereal Armor, All That Glitters, Sythis, Harvests Hand, Sanctum Weaver #06 Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch (Down from #04) While Urtet might have been moved down a couple of spots, it isnt for any fault of the deck
